As a new event, we’ll be running an Amateur “Ham” Radio demonstration at Outsidecon this year on Satyrday evening when we’re waiting for dinner. We’ll have a full high frequency rig at 100watts with everything set up near the dining hall. And everyone can talk on the air!
Depending on band conditions – we’ll start with the higher frequency amateur radio bands during the day (10, 15, & 20 meter bands) and then move on to lower frequency bands which work better after sunset (40 & 80 meter bands).
